Tell us about Yasmina Nadine Photography

Yasmina is a Sydney-based wedding photographer who loves capturing connections and emotions. She has traveled the world photographing incredible couples who are up for any adventure.

What was the journey that brought you to what you do?

I studied photography just for me, many many years ago! One day I was photographing my first child in a park and another mum asked if I was a photographer. I said no but she asked to see the back of my camera, loved them, and then asked if I could photograph her with her children. I did… she referred me to all her friends… and Yasmina Nadine Photography was born. I booked my first wedding later that year and then had 32 the following!! The rest is history.

What’s behind your success?

My love of what I do. I honestly love every single wedding and every single couple (I always feel like we’d make such great friends!).

What’s a mistake you’ve made that you’ll never make again?

To not have a wedding contract! I learnt that lesson very early on, thankfully.

What do you love about working in the wedding industry?

The couples and vendors are all so lovely. I mean, we’re all working together towards a beautiful day and really do place our couples first. During C19, the wedding industry really banded together in a positive way.

What are your predictions for the industry for the next few years?

Smaller, more intimate, sometimes midweek weddings will become more frequent.

What’s the one secret about your field or industry you wish everyone knew?

Good question! I’m not really sure. I wish more people knew just how much work goes into each and every wedding, behind the scenes from vendors (and all of the internal costs!).

What’s your main goal for the year ahead?

To continue to build my business. I relocated to Australia (from the UK) in late 2019, just before the pandemic. Not great timing but my business is still flourishing.
